The Briger Foundation
To match the ambition of its research program, and following a $200 million investment from Fortress, the Briger Foundation engaged us to develop a brand identity and digital platform that could clearly articulate both the urgent need for action and the Foundation’s multidimensional R&D strategy.

The Strategic Foundation
The goal was to communicate a complex, scientific mission to substantially improve the prognosis of uLMS by leveraging biotechnologies, convey urgency without sensationalism, and invite collaboration from physicians and scientists working in oncology, as well as uLMS patients.
During the process we consulted closely with Foundation’s team of scientists, gaining approval and seeking their feedback throughout the website design and build process. At the heart of the identity is a three-oval stepping stones symbol, a simple mark that represents their incremental and determined progress towards a cure for uLMS.
Quietly radical design for a clinical category
Where many foundations default to literal photography or generic medical stock visuals, Briger’s site leans into textured, abstract illustration and subtle animation. The illustration system is fully customizable and non-literal, allowing the brand to communicate complexity and motion without resorting to clinical imagery that can feel frightening or dehumanizing.
Light animation and texture in these illustrations bring a sense of energy and ongoing work, echoing the Foundation’s belief that “doing nothing” is the riskiest option, while maintaining a tone of seriousness and respect. The result is a site that feels modern, humane, and unexpectedly creative for the category, all while preserving scientific credibility and a clear, rigorous reading experience.
A Living Hub of Care Options
Aligning with the understated ‘stepping stone’ logo design, the website offers a clear journey and ensures the information takes center stage, with design in a supporting role. A color palette of bright hues and pastels aims to radiate positivity, while the use of gradients softens the user experience. A clear typographic hierarchy helps users focus on understanding their options and offers a clear call to action for professionals, with typeface Garvis Pro selected for clarity and legibility.
